Karin Schaupp & Genevieve Lacey
The 2007 Songs Without Words Tour will see internationally acclaimed soloists Karin Schaupp and Genevieve Lacey dazzle and delight audiences across the country this July and August. The poetic elegance of Schaupp paired with the ARIA award winning virtuosity of Lacey makes for an unforgettable concert experience, as they present the rather unique combination of recorder and guitar in a diverse programme. Exploring unexpected repertoire from the Baroque to the present day, sonatas to folksongs, the duo share a strong bond both musically and personally.
The pair first performed together at the 2004 Barossa Festival in South Australia and released their first album Songs Without Words through ABC Classics in May 2006. Whilst promoting the album, the duo performed to rapturous audiences in 2006, and will again share their breathtaking talent on this new tour.
